PROGRESS HAS BEEN SEEN TO BE MADE …

Work is progressing really well since my last update, however recent heavy rain has slowed progress somewhat.
The rafters that will support the roofing material are in place and we will this week have them painted in heavy oil that will stop the termites and other borer type insects from destroying the wood.
Next step is the roof itself....then I will be able to relax a little as it is so comforting to know that the outside mud brick walls will not be affected by rainfall.
Then comes the installing of guttering that will take the rainfall off the roof followed by the plastering of all the block work and the creation of walkways … whilst at the same time we will be working inside, concreting the floors.
Our Headmaster will have the additional room at the end of the Brian Sloan Memorial Skills Centre building, he had to give up his previous room in the main school building as it had to be used as a classroom .
A good thing ( even though it wasn’t part of the original BSMSTC )is that it is strategically placed facing the entrance way so everyone entering the school will need to pass by the headmasters office.
I remember as a very young child the threat of having to report to the headmasters office was a great disincentive to be naughty. This will I am sure be a disincentive for any bad people to try and do anything nasty both to our beautiful children or removing anything from the Skills Training centre. In addition our on-site security man Herbert will co share the other part of the office with either Brutus or Mike Tyson…..not the human form but two of our very loud and fearsome sounding security dogs….
Keep posted for some more exciting adventures..
Thank you for reading , interest and support!!!!
