Mission Accomplished !!

Last blog spoke of the need to begin vital work in reroofing and upgrading of the 2nd of three houses used to keep our 172 orphans warm and dry , in what is often very challenging wet seasons.

Whilst many think of Africa as being hot….this is hardly the case where we are in Kabale where we have our orphanage. Being at 6,500 feet above sea level it is cold and damp for as long as 7 months of the year.

We are indebted to Lanie and John for so graciously giving us the money to complete this work, and the results are very satisfactory, and will make a huge

difference. The 30 young boys who sleep there said for the first time for a long time they had a great sleep …it was like what they believe heaven to be !! i also want to thank our very small number of donors who have and are supporting our orphanage and school…we certainly would love more people to help to ease the load …but are enormously grateful for the money you have sacrificially given…it is lifesaving !!

Our next project is to plant in the current wet season September to November 500 trees…this will help our replenishment of our timber resources….

Just E mail our website or my e mail address for more information…lindsayswalker@gmail.com

Here are the latest photos of the reroofing project….
